If you don’t count 100 acres of double crop soybeans that got hit pretty hard with frost and won’t be ready for a few more weeks, then harvest is over. We finished the last corn field on Thursday evening just ahead of a bunch of rain. I’ve got ideas for all kinds of posts now that I have the time to write them. It’s been raining quite a bit lately. This is the mess I made after the grain cart sat loaded overnight in the rain. Seems the drought is almost over for us. We are know listed as abnormally dry instead of severe or extreme drought.
I’m looking forward to hearing more about a farmer’s life when there aren’t crops in the ground. So glad to hear that you are getting some much needed rain, albeit too late for this year.
There’s plenty to do. Maybe not as many pictures when we are in the office doing taxes and bank statements. Boring.
