A Minor Seed Crisis

This morning we found that one of the pallets with a large seed bag had broken through the top of one of the Pro Boxes.  Guess that’s never happened before, but we took the other bags off the seed boxes as well.  Good thing the bag didn’t rip because the box wouldn’t have held the whole thing.  At least they were both soybeans if something did happen although different varieties which would have messed up some of our field maps.  Apparently boxes should only be stacked with other boxes!  image

  1. Fortunately there was minimal damage. You should be able to get a spare lid from your local retailer or Pioneer. The lid is basically a dust cover, only engineered to accept another ProBox on top (locked into the molded-in stacking lugs. Would also recommend not stacking ProBoxes on top of pallets of seed, as runners could cut into the bags and possible fall and hurt someone.
    Good planting!
